About St. Anne’s Pre-University College for girls

St. Anne’s Pre-University College for girls, Ramamurthynagar, was started in year 1985 with the view to impart value based secular education. It is a minority institution run by St. Anne’s Educational Society (Regd).

The society renders service to humanity in the field of education and has established educational institutions in almost all the states of India.

St. Anne’s Pre-University College for girls, Ramamurthynagar is founded and managed by the Religious Society of the Sisters of St. Anne, Bangalore. One of the visions of our founder Msgr. Stephen Louis Charbonnaux was to reach out to Girls and in particular through education to the female children for their empowerment.

The Society had its origin in Bangalore and their head quarter is situated at #2, Miller Road, in Bangalore. It has its branches spread all over India, Germany, America and Africa. The Society is grouped into Provinces in order to facilitate administration. The society responded to the frequent requests of the locals especially by the parents of the St. Antony’s High School and started St. Anne’s Pre-University College for girls, Ramamurthynagar. The management’s thrust is on its founding Charism and the emphasis is on the goals and objectives set for the holistic development of female children. We dedicate ourselves for the promotion of national integration, religious harmony and secularism.

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it". Children are God's gift to us and how we raise them is our gift to the world. St. Anne's PU College for girls at R M Nagar run by St. Anne's Educational Society at Miller's Road, lit its light of knowledge for the young women in the year 1985. From then, with unwavering vision, sustained commitment, we have recorded a long phase of growth. "The success of any institution is measured by its commitment to the goals for which it was established with the motto" love and service". "Education in today's world is not merely limited to academics, it is much more; it is about life skills, values and shaping the attitude of young minds. It is the manifestation of the perfection that already exists in oneself". Education is being used as a tool of transformation, empowerment and Change. We realize that along with academics it is also necessary to impart life skills to our children. They also need to learn what it takes to be happy and complete human beings. Holistic education attempts to nurture the development of the whole person - this includes the intellectual, emotional, physical, social, aesthetic and spiritual. Educational thinkers all over the world have stressed the necessity of gearing education to the whole person." The mind of the prudent acquires knowledge and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

"The real purpose of education hence is to bring up individuals who can think independently, who are compassionate and who can use their full potential to make this world a better place. Education to girls is a dire necessity in the present-day world. Thus, we need to shift our perspective on education to the biggest picture and rethink the purpose. As I conclude this keynote, I am happy to state that St. Anne's P U College at Ramamurthy Nagar is rendering selfless service in the field of Education. It is an immense delight for a gardener to find the growth of a bumper crop in His garden. ↑ May the students carry the light of knowledge, a life of love and service to humanity creating an atmosphere of inspiration to all, wherever they go and may they be imbued with greater enthusiasm, a new vision and nobler goals! May the spirit of God fill each one of you with unceasing joy and fulfillment, May you grow to achieve greater success in the years come!!! In due season you will reap, if you do not give up!
